About Shiprocket
E-commerce Logistics / Shipping & Fulfillment Technology Platform
Shiprocket began as a shipping platform offering domestic logistics services, including instant pickups, order tracking, secure delivery, weight verification, and faster cash-on-delivery payment processing. Over time, the company expanded well beyond core shipping into a broader e-commerce operations suite, including fulfilment centres, cargo and heavy logistics, omnichannel commerce through its Shiprocket Omuni product, international shipping with customs support, advertising and marketing tools, checkout and payment infrastructure, business loans, and hyperlocal delivery.
The company generates revenue primarily through usage-based pricing, charging merchants based on platform usage such as transaction volume or order value processed, rather than fixed subscription fees. In the six months ended September 30, 2025, the platform supported over 145,000 active merchants who processed more than 97 million transactions and served over 42 million end customers, with a 64.56 percent repeat customer rate; the platform also serves more than 8,500 high-volume "Power Merchants."
Unlike every other company in this dataset, Shiprocket has no identifiable promoter or promoter group — it is a professionally managed, venture capital and private equity-backed company, with its pre-IPO cap table spread across institutional investors including LR India Fund, Tribe Capital, 500 Startups, Bertelsmann, and Arvind Ltd., alongside co-founders Gautam Kapoor and Saahil Goel.
